Denver Startup Week Founder's Growth Toolkit: Scaling Your Startup Smarter Recap

What an incredible ONE DAY, ONE LOCATION event, Tuesday, September 17th, we curated for Denver Startup Week! We were so lucky to book the DENVER LODGE NO. 17, BENEVOLENT AND PROTECTIVE ORDER OF ELKS OF THE UNITED STATE OF AMERICA with the help of Amy Holtgreive Storey and Florentina (Tina) M. Romero. If you are looking for a one stop shop venue, parking onsite, room for a food truck or 2 for lunch, or breakfast or dinner, and a happy hour spot with a beautiful view of Downtown Denver, look no further than this Elks Lodge in the Highlands.

Thank you to Mike Pedrick from Nuspire who kicked off the day sharing his first hand experience and insight on risk management.

To wrap up the morning sessions, we welcomed Andrew Doyle, Founder of The Doyle Group and one of TDG's clients, Fernando Cardenas of MBO Partners. They shared a discussion about attracting and retaining top talent.

Lunch was served by Sokare food truck. Juicy burgers and chicken sandwiches with fries and tots were the comfort food everyone sat outside for some sunshine and connected over.

After lunch, attendance picked up for our AI panel, Founder's Guide to a Customer-Centric Approach to Design, Build, Scale, and Sell AI Products. Bianca DePriest of Galileo, Peter George of EPAM Systems and Claire Longo of Comet gave the audience a very interactive discussion on their contributions to the space of delivering AI products.

Next up was April De Crescentis, MHA, BSMP of Harlequin Consulting, LLC with her workshop Marketing Toolbox: Building Your Strategy Blueprint for Startup Success. She walked attendees through defining their problem statement, their mission statement, their vision statement, their target audience, their understanding of their target customer , or audience, and strategy summarization as well as defining their "bait". April was also our professional photographer for the day!

Next, Kamal🚀 Maheshwari, co-founder of Decube and I shared some AI jokes and busted some data strategy and quality myths in our fireside chat Data Strategy, Quality and Trust Walk into a Bar...

And our final session of the day had Rodrigo Fuentes, Founder of Nubara, and Bob McNeil, Founder of Colorado Technology Sales, sharing their secrets for harnessing Generative AI to modernize sales and communications.

We were so blessed to have such a great crowd of attendees, as well as Ashley Perea from The Doyle Group and Greg Sheridan PMI-ACP from DAMA Rocky Mountain Chapter (as well as GALTech) handing out goodies and swag.

Many of our session speakers will share their slide decks, just reach out to them directly! We wrapped up the day in the Jolly Corks bar overlooking the downtown Denver skyline.

We have several additional people and organizations to thank, Alexander Liss and Kimberly Southerland of the Denver Data Dudes and Dudettes meetup and the MLOps Community Denver meetup. And this day wouldn't have been possible if my partner in crime, April De Crescentis, MHA, BSMP, and I hadn't met virtually shortly before the DSW submission deadline and cooked up the crazy idea to put together ONE DAY, ONE LOCATION for Denver Startup Week. So thank you to her, all the founders/speakers, all the companies and organizations, and ALL the founders/attendees! You made this one SPECIAL day!
